Bio
Danielle Schroeder - Drexel University Counselor
Danielle Schroeder first joined SWE in 2012 as a freshman at Drexel University. She earned her both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering in June 2017. Currently, she works at Pennoni Associates as a Graduate Structural Engineer where she focuses on bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction. In FY18, Danielle served as Collegiate Liaison for Philadelphia SWE. She presented at the 2017 Region E Conference and also at WE17. Danielle is also currently the Collegiate Counselor for Drexel SWE.
In her spare time, Danielle enjoys playing tennis, watching the Philadelphia Eagles with family and friends, and exploring all that Philly has to offer (especially all the wonderful food). |
Alice Worrall - Messiah College Counselor
Rebecca Rose - Swarthmore College Counselor

Rebecca has been involved in SWE since 2002, starting as a member of the Smith College collegiate section where she was vice-president of her junior year and president her senior year. Upon graduation with a B.S. in Engineering Science, she moved to the Philadelphia area in 2006 and joined Accenture where she is currently a consultant responsible for interfaces among different databases on information management projects. Rebecca has served as the Philadelphia SWE section treasurer since FY08. She also enjoys gardening, hiking, and helping her husband with home improvement projects.
Mary Beth Biddle - Temple University & Philadelphia University Counselor

Mary Beth Biddle has been active in SWE for 10 years now. While the attending the University of Pittsburgh, she held various positions, including Meeting Coordinator and President. After graduating from Pitt in August 2012 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mary Beth started working full time for Lockheed Martin Space. She completed her MS in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University in 2015 and has been the Philadelphia SWE President and VP of Communications and Outreach. Mary Beth has also served as the FY17 Scholarship Coordinator and the FY19 SWE Counselor & Faculty Advisor Coordinator. She has also presented at the Region E Conferences and at WE15 and WE17. She enjoys traveling and being outdoors.
Cassandra Zook - University of Pennsylvania Counselor

Cassandra holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Drexel University and a MS in Systems Engineering from Penn State University. She works as a systems engineer at the Naval Ship Systems Engineering Station of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division. Cassandra has been active in SWE since 2007 when she joined her collegiate section. She has served as Webmaster, Treasurer, and President of the Drexel University Section. Previously she was the Newsletter Editor for the Philadelphia Section and currently serves as a Section Representative and the Science Fair Chair. Cassandra is also active on the Regional level and was recently elected to be the Region Nominating Chair. She looks forward to many years of involvement in SWE at all levels!
Alisha Trocciola - Villanova University Counselor

Alisha works at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as a senior process engineer at GMS Biopharm. She started her career at GSK after graduating from Villanova University in 2005 with a B.S in Chemical Engineering. She is an active member of the Villanova University Alumni Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter and the Society of Women Engineers. She has been a SWE member since freshman of year college and now serves as the Villanova Counselor. Alisha is passionate about getting students excited about STEM and frequently volunteers at STEM outreach events. Outside of work, Alisha can be found cheering on the Villanova basketball team, trying out a new restaurant in Philly or participating in Zumba and kickboxing classes.
MaryAnn Skehan - Widener University Counselor

Mary Ann has been a SWE member since the start of the Widener University SWE section in 1981. Mary Ann received her BS is Electrical Engineering in 1981, Masters in Computer Engineering in 1989, and a Master in Education - Secondary Mathematics in 2003 all from Widener University. She has worked as a Flight Controls Engineer at Boeing Rotorcraft Division for 30 years. Mary Ann has been involved and helped develop numerous outreach activities such as: What Makes Things Fly at Widener Mini Camp, Boeing Explorer's Post 747, School to Work Program with Ridley and Upper Darby High Schools. Mary Ann is also a member of the American Helicopter Society.
